It's been busy. I'm in the throes of a major apartment purge. Nothing is safe I tell you - nothing.
I've got a huge box of trash bags, and I'm not afraid to use them. I'm just back from one of my favorite places to shop: Bed Bath & Beyond. As always they had some great sales. I got the carpet runners I wanted for a third of what I budgeted, so I was able to buy a few extra things. They have a clearance section with 'broken box merchandise' and I picked up some of those Sham Wows. The 20 dollar broken box was reduced to $4.99. A dealio yes?
The delivery is coming between 9 and midnite, so I'll be up late I guess.
Back again soon.
Feeling quite alive on the #5
You would think this bus was my a giant taxi. We sped along the whole of Riverside Drive from 96th to 135th with me as the sole passenger.
I'm feeling quite chipper today - I have a new secret project in the works. I'd tell you all about it, but if I did...
Funny thing is that Sunday past I bought a really nice new notebook for something special. The fact that I didn't know what the special something was didn't matter.
It's like buying a new dress for no particular reason; watch you'll be invited somewhere soon.
Anyway as always, as soon as I have the details together I will posting about it here, and on my other blogs.
Speaking of blogs I'm checking out a blogging community called 'Open Salon.' It's connected with Salon.com; I used to hang out there quite a bit actually. There's always a good article to be found there. And I'm sure there are some stellar posters at Open Salon.
The bus is quite full now. Unfortunately it's also full of multiple heavy cologne scents. Just 13 more blocks to go.
Until later.

from my seat on the #7 train 07.12.10
The woman on my left is fast asleep. Looks like she had a rough Monday. Know how she feels - my own left me feeling kinda jumpy.
Oddly enough enough the persistent piercing screams of the three tots in the restaurant I was at calmed me down. This trio had lungs of steel. I kept waiting for my water glass to shatter.
There's a poster up for a photography/video performance at the Guggenheim called Haunted. Looks good. That just might be this Sunday's entertainment.
Oh great there's signal problems so I'll have to hop off at the next stop and grab the N train. Taking a deep breath folks. Counting to ten once and then again.
Today I went over to visit my abandoned Text Novel. Funny thing is I got a couple of votes for it last month. I hit a wall months ago, but suddenly today my voice returned. Figurative of course.
Two of the loudest chicks in New York are sitting across from me comparing manicures. They have those long curved air brushed talons in colors as obnoxious as their behavior. I know I sound b*tchy, but honestly it's been Aggravation 101 & 2 today.
I can practically smell the hot lavender bath I'm going to draw myself at home.
My book is getting really interesting, and I can't wait to see how it all gets resolved in 'Best Friends Forever' by Jennifer Weiner. Summers are made for chick lit and horror. My next download will probably be the Stephen King about the dome. Before BBF I read the new Carol Burnett book. I was always a fan of her show. I'l never forget her take off Gone With The Wind. The green velvet Mackie gown with a curtain rod through the shoulder brought down the house. Grandma was a big fan of variety shows. She never understood why anyone would want to watch anything other than variety, sitcom, soap opera or game show.
Okay here's my stop.
Nite all.
